35 Questions to ask your Child After School That Will REALLY get a Conversation Started!

Let's face it, by the time our kids get home from school we are both equally tired from a long day. We have housework to do, dinner to start and they just want to be in their room, outside or with friends. My daughter and I's conversation goes something like this:

"Hey Kel, how was your day?"

Her: "Good!"

Meh. Is that the best we can do? Sometimes we miss funny stories or important details from our children's day because we are not asking the right questions. It only takes one question to start a conversation with your child to learn a little bit more about his/her day and how they might be feeling. My daughter always remembers stories from the day randomly during the evening and I'm like where in the world did that come from? She definitely still does that, but I do get a lot more info from her asking more specific questions.

I have compiled a list of 35 questions you can ask your child when they get home from school that will really get a conversation started.
